This year, we celebrate 17 years of Christmas for the City— 17 years of churches, nonprofits, businesses and all kinds of people coming together to create a meaningful Christmas experience for the whole community.
Over the years, each of our church and nonprofit partners have donated in extraordinary ways:
- hundreds of volunteers hours from your members serving at the event, singing in choirs, making cookies (15,000+ in those early years!!!), waiting tables in the years we provided 3,500 meals and so many other dimensions.
- all kinds of in-kind donations and expertise that has made CFTC vastly greater than the sum of its parts.
- and, of course, financial donations from churches joining gifts from businesses, the city of Winston-Salem, nonprofits, and all kinds of organizations and individuals!
Here at year-end, please consider an offering at one of the following levels to help us reach our goal and, once again, fully fund this gift in our community!
With Christmas for the City, our goal has always been to be a meaningful Christmas experience for the whole community we know that as our community evolves, so must CFTC. Through our discernment, we’ve begun to feel as if God is taking Christmas for the City in a new direction, and we are marking this year as the “last of its kind” as we look to the new things God may do in this season through this team and our resources.
The entire city is invited to this free Christmas party at Benton Convention Center, 301 W. Fifth Street, on Saturday, December 21, 2024. The venue will be packed inside and out with activities for all ages, raising up celebrations of all kinds from our community by nonprofits, sharing desserts, musical performances and more.
We’re calling on you to help us make this year the Best Year Ever and mark this season of Christmas for the City to celebrate what God has done and set us up for what God will continue to do through this event in the coming years.
